Marinella Davide

Marinella is post-doctoral researcher at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice and affiliated researcher at CMCC@Ca’Foscari and RFF-CMCC European Institute on Economics and the Environment. Her main research focus is the analysis of national and international policies on climate change and low-carbon energy and their linkages with sustainable development. She has a relevant experience in the field of EU climate policy and UNFCCC negotiations, and she is currently focusing on the implementation of the Paris Agreement. From 2011 to 2015, she was also involved in the Gemina project supporting the scientific management of the Economic analysis of Climate Impacts and Policy Division - ECIP’s activities.

Marinella has a Ph.D. in Science and Management of Climate Change from the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. During the academic year 2016/2017 she was a Giorgio Ruffolo Fellow at the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at Harvard University, where she analysed the impacts of mitigation actions on sustainable development and was involved in the working group on sustainable development in the EU. In the period 2010 – 2017 she was researcher at Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei (FEEM), within the team of the International Center for Climate Governance.

Before the Ph.D. Marinella held a Postgraduate Advanced Master in Global Environmental Protection and International Policies from University of Tuscia. In 2007 she graduated in Diplomatic and International Sciences from the University of Bologna (Forlì campus) with a thesis on the Flexible Mechanisms of the Kyoto Protocol and the European Emissions Trading Scheme.
