Giacomo Falchetta
Giacomo is a Research Fellow at EIEE, where he is collaborating in the ERC ENERGYA project. In parallel, he is an affiliated Research Scholar at IIASA – the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis, where he coordinates the modelling activities of the H2020 LEAP-RE project.
Giacomo is an energy and environmental economist with a strongly multidisciplinary background. His core working areas include energy poverty; the assessment of climate change impacts on energy demand and supply; the water-energy-food-nexus in developing countries; and the use of geospatial data analysis techniques.
Previously, he worked as a Researcher at FEEM – Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei – whilst completing his PhD, awarded from the Catholic University of Milan. He holds a MSc. In Environmental Economics and Climate Change from the London School of Economics, and a BSc. in Economics and Social Sciences from the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano.
Besides working, Giacomo enjoys playing music and doing water sports.
